Margot La Rue sent us another Show Us Your Moves submission, this time featuring her Sakura costume from the Naruto series! She specifically cosplayed one of Sakura’s outfits from Shippuden. In order to complete her look, she chose to use our Dionysus in Cotton Candy Pink! Read on below to see pictures of her costume and the wig and read her story!

I am Margot la Rue, 23 years old and a Fashion Design student at Columbia College Chicago.

The cosplay I am submitting is Sakura Haruno’s 4th Great Ninja War outfit from Naruto Shippuden. I used the Dionysus- 24″ Cotton Candy Pink Versatile Straight Long Cosplay Wig and cut is short to give it the harsher edge.

My cosplay debut was in February of 2010: My friend Ellie was extremely fond of cosplay and talked about it often. I was immediately curious. Though a bit intimidated by the people I had seen cosplaying online, I started with a simple costume. I had some experience sewing, but there were gaps in my knowledge. I also did not have access to a sewing machine. Since I did not get the chance to use a sewing machine
for a while, I would make my costumes by hand. When I moved from Texas to Chicago for school, I started taking the Costume Construction classes offered in the theater department of my College. They have
improved my sewing ability and given me confidence to take on bigger projects.

I chose to cosplay Sakura Because she is my favorite character in Naruto and I have cosplayed two of her other outfits. I choose the 4th Ninja War outfit because I have not seen very many people do it .

The hardest part of this cosplay was the pockets on the vest.  I spent more time on the pockets than I did on the rest of the vest put together.
