Here’s one of entries for our Valentine’s Day Couples Contest! befu and zaFade are cosplaying as Mitsuru and Akihiko from Persona 3. While neither of these cosplayers used our wigs for their cosplays we have some great wig styles that fit these characters perfectly! For a Mitsuru cosplay we recommend you use our Hestia Wig in Dark Red. For an Akihiko cosplay we recommend our Hermes Wig in Silvery Grey. -What inspired you to do these cosplays?:
Before we started dating (and were just talking online/texting each other a million times a day), he asked me to be his Valentine that year. I happily accepted. A few days later he asked me if I would cosplay Mitsuru to his Akihiko (Mitsuru is his favorite female character from Persona 3, Akihiko his favorite male character). I ended up agreeing, even though I had never played nor heard of the game. I was just thrilled to finally cosplay with a guy, and to not be the one cosplaying a guy. Not too long after that we were dating….I had no clue what I was getting into. This past year we were finally able to do these costumes. I got to have fun with tons of pleats and he got to be my moral support whenever I was having issues. It’s fun to wear these costumes together because, like Mitsuru and Akihiko, we look out for and take care of each other. In its own way, it’s become a belated Valentine’s Day gift since I was able to fulfill my promise I made to him nearly 2 years ago.
-Why do you love cosplay?: The creative challenge of it. Taking something that’s 2D, making it for the real world and have it be somewhat practical. Each costume is something I’ve never done before and is a brand new learning experience. It also strengthens my sewing skills!
