Here’s another exciting entry for our Valentine’s Day Couples Contest! We have Sora & Ariel cosplaying as Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis from the series Kuroshitsuji. – What inspired you to do these cosplays?
Kuroshitsuji is our favorite cosplay, and Sebastian x Ciel is our favorite pairing. We have years of memories tied to watching this series together and following the manga together. There is such an emotional tie to this series and to these characters for both of us that we couldn’t not cosplay them.
– What got you into cosplay?
We’ve both always been very theatrical people with a love of costumes and all forms of art. Combined with our interest in anime, cosplay was inevitable. Once we found out about the cosplay community, we had to be involved.
– Why do you love cosplay?
The art of it. Seeing something go from paper and ink to flesh and blood, and getting to be part of that process. Cosplay is as much an art as painting, writing, and music.
