Here’s one of the entries for our Valentine’s Day Couples Contest! Sam and Rebecca (Ony X) are cosplaying as Simon and Nia from Gurren Lagann. Sam used our Apollo Wig in Shadow Blue for his Simon cosplay. Although Rebecca did not use a wig from EpicCosplay, we recommend using our Hera Wig in Natural Blonde and dyeing the front parts blue to create a wig perfect for a Nia cosplay! -What inspired you to do these cosplay?
Sam’s is in love with Gurren Lagann, and even more in love with his Simon cosplay, so we couldn’t really resist getting a group together to do this cosplay together.
-What got you into cosplay?
Sam: I wanted to start cosplaying because every con I saw amazing costumes every where and I wanted to do the same thing.
Ony X: I’ve been cosplaying ever since my first con in 2012, and fell in love with environment of cons and the friends that they would bring together, and cosplaying was just an easier way to meet people of the same interests yet at the same time show off your skills!
-Why do you love cosplay?
Sam: love cosplaying because it lets me be myself and not feel judged by others.
Ony X: Cosplay helps me to have the confidence to show what I’m capable of making as well as talking to others. It’s helped me make so many friends, and I’ve learned so much over my career as a cosplayer, there’s no way I couldn’t be in love with it.
