Here’s one of the entries for our Valentine’s Day Couples Contest! Erin (bitterassfandom) and Erica (fyeaherica) are cosplaying as Dave and John respectively from Homestuck. Although neither cosplayer used a wig from EpicCosplay, we have some recommendations that would work well for each of those characters. For a Dave cosplay we recommend using our Chronos Wig in Natural Blonde. For John, we recommend using our Apollo Wig in Black! Read on to learn more about these cosplayers!
-What inspired you to do these cosplays?
These two are adorable together and it’s easy for both of us to get into character as them!
-What got you into cosplay?
I (Erin) have been cosplaying seriously for around three years now, and I originally got into it because of my friends. Once I started doing it, it became a huge confidence booster for me, and I have made lots of valuable friends through attending conventions and other cosplay events. Erica began doing it pretty casually before we met, but she’s improved a lot since we’ve known each other!
-Why do you love cosplay?
I love how I can step outside of my own life for just a little while and be someone completely different. I love being admired for something that I put a lot of time and effort into because I don’t have very much creative talent, but cosplay is something I can do myself! So it’s really an achievement for me to be able to do well in cosplay.
