-What inspired you to do this cosplay?
When planning my video (parody of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”) for my YouTube channel, Lady Game Lyric (I do video game-themed song parodies), I chose GLaDOS because the Portal songs sound like something Taylor Swift would write. More importantly, I see GLaDOS as a cosplay that gives me a lot of creative freedom since she doesn’t inhabit a human body.
Most existing GLaDOS cosplays are very intricate and detail-oriented. For that, I wanted to bring her back to basics and make her look more human seeing she after all is capable of human emotions. I also felt my stripped down approach would bring out her personality and feelings a bit more as the player gets to know her not through her looks but what she says. Based on the quote in the photo (from the final battle confronting GLaDOS for the first time), I think GLaDOS makes a great ambassador for Singles Awareness Day!
