Here’s one of the entries for our Valentine’s Day Couples Contest! Angie Rikku and Daosh R are cosplaying as Riku and Gippal from Final Fantasy X-2. While neither of these cosplayers used our wigs we have some great styles to recommend in case you are looking to cosplay as either of these characters in the future. Inspiration: Rikku is my absolute favorite character ever! However, in the prequel Final Fantasy X the only coupling is Yuna and Tidus. Rikku was all alone. š When this scene in Final Fantasy X-2 happened at 7:24 onwards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLRJbqMpa_A , I was really excited that Gippal was hinted to have been Rikku’s love interest! I showed my boyfriend the clip and we made his Gippal costume so we could cosplay the OTP!
Beginnings: I began watching Sailor Moon when I was 7 years old. Fast forward to 2002, still watching anime and expanding into videogames, my very first PS2 game was Final Fantasy X. I love this game so much! I was browsing the internet trying to find more information when I stumbled upon a Yuna costume on ebay. Then I found cosplay.com and was hooked!
Why?!: Cosplay has allowed me to take my love for videogames and anime and bring it into real life. Cosplay is my creative outlet and the fun times I’ve had while cosplaying and meeting so many new friends who share the same interests as me is what keeps me making more costumes!
