I have loved Sailor Moon since I was a little girl, and I’ve been waiting for the day to finally be able to cosplay Mina. I love Mina’s personality, and always felt a bit of a connection with her and how close she was to her friends.
What got you into cosplay:
I actually made my first costume for Halloween back in 2006, I wanted something that I knew stores didn’t sell and I figured I’ll make a costume from a character I liked, before I even knew it was called Cosplay. I made a really bad Rikku Songstress outfit that was held together with hot glue! haha, so I’d like to think I’ve learned a lot over the years.
Why do you love cosplay:
For me, its a creative outlet. I love challenging myself to create something I’ve never done before or to get into character really well. I love making people smile and amazed at my costumes. It’s something that I find I can create imaginative and inspirational designs and bring to life characters that have made an impact in so many peoples lives.
