Hey there! Here’s another entry for our Show Us Your Moves contest! Here we have Devious Kitty as Fluttershy from the My Little Pony series! She used our Fluttershy Cosplay Wig (discontinued) to help with her cosplay! Take a look at her cosplay and read more about her cosplay and her background!
– What got you into cosplay?
I don’t remember how I heard of it but I ended up attending Emerald City Comic Con and before I went I did some last minute Googling. After seeing all the people dressed up, I threw together a last minute My Little Pony cosplay (from the original show because I never even heard about Friendship is Magic).
– How long have you been cosplaying?
I have only been cosplaying since March 2012 because to be honest I was so absorbed in my MMO’s and video games I didn’t even know it existed lol.I dove in head first lol. Since March I have cosplayed 4 characters and I have 20+ costumes planned for 2013 @_@
– Were there any particular reasons you selected this character?
I AM Fluttershy lol. I’ve had pets since I was born and I have worked with animals since I was 14 years old. I started out as a dog walker, 10 years ago I started a career as a pet groomer, and last year I opened my own pet sitting/dog walking service. In addition to that I am very shy and soft spoken, I really open up with friends but others seem to find me stand-offish. I’m really nice I swear! Just give me a chance ..that is.. if you want to.. ._.
– What would you consider the most difficult part of this costume?
The petticoat was a pain in the butt! Also satin is not a fun fabric, it frays like a mofo and it slides a lot so you it requires excessive pinning and surging or fray checking
– What cosplay would you like to do in the future?
I really want to do Sailor Moon but finding a quality wig that is natural looking and isn’t the ridiculous bright yellow is pretty much impossible unless you know how to make wigs *hint* *hint* 🙂
– What’s your favorite part about cosplaying?
The kids, hands down. I just love how kids’ faces light up when they see a character they love and/or recognize. That is another reason I really love dressing as Fluttershy, the kids recognize me and it feels great when they get so happy.
-What do you like about our wig?
I usually buy my wigs from eBay because they are cheap but the saying “You get what you pay for” is so true! Your wigs are PHENOMENAL!!
1: The thickness of the wig is great, you can’t see the wig cap peeking through the hair at all.
2: The texture is amazing, it is the closest to human hair I have ever felt.
3: It doesn’t tangle! OMG, this is the issue I have had the biggest problem with and with your wig I can literally comb with my fingers!
4: My head is perfectly comfortable with the wig on. With other wigs I either have my head strangled so I get a headache or it is so loose it keeps sliding off.
I plan to eventually replace all my character’s wig with Epic Cosplay wigs! Also.. I really hope you have Sailor Moon in a natural color soon. I wanted to cosplay her in March and I will be one of the first people to get that wig! 😀
I would love to see you guys offer more character wigs! or more color choices for each character 😉
