Show Us Your Moves Submission: Aerial as Lan

Aerial Cosplay was kind enough to share how she utilized our Chronos wig in Ice Blue for her Lan cosplay from Rinne No Lagrange! Check out her pictures and story below!

Hi I’m Aerial from Aerial Cosplay.  Let me tell you a little bit about myself. =) I’ve loved theatre and costuming my whole life. When I discovered cosplay in 2008-ish it seemed like the perfect mix of theatre, costume, fandom, and fun.  I started out cosplaying a lot of Gundam characters, and then I branched out from there. I have met a lot of great people and made a lot of great friends through cosplay and I enjoy the process of taking a two-dimensional design and turning it into something wearable. I especially like costumes with interesting challenges, but also like making and wearing pretty things.

I was originally asked if I would be interested in cosplaying Lan, and after watching Rinne No Lagrange I fell in love with her character. I also love mecha series, so it seemed like a great fit.  Her hair and costume also seemed like a fun challenge to translate into a costume.

The wig was probably the most difficult part of this cosplay, but it turned out to be a lot easier than I had anticipated. I used an Epic Cosplay 12″ layered wig in ice blue (https://blog.epiccosplay.com/rei-ayanami-neon-genesis-evangelion-blue-short-cosplay-wig.html) and two packs of extensions in the same color. I braided the extensions together and wefted the bottom using tulle net. I then sewed the braid to the inside front sides of the wig and added wig clips to the inside of the wig to keep everything in place on my head. I also added the hair clip and flower and trimmed the bangs. I love the way this wig looks and love the color and feel. Epic Cosplay is definitely one of my favorite places to shop for wigs, and a lot of my cosplays use Epic Cosplay wigs, due to the excellent quality and fast shipping times.
