Chris, Sora, and Ariel entered our April Fool’s Contest as Kaito, Len and Miku respectively from Vocaloid! While none of these cosplayers used our wigs we have some great styles in case you are looking to cosplay as any of these characters in the future! Did you use an EpicCosplay wig? If so, what style? No
What inspired you to do these cosplays? Around this time, Chris, Sora, and Ariel were pretty much inseparable. Sora was a long-time Vocaloids fan, and eventually Chris and Ariel got into it, too We roped our friends into cosplaying with us, so we did a Vocaloid group at Sac-Anime.
What got you into cosplay? We are all performers, and cosplay is an incredibly theatrical hobby. Costumes, wigs, makeup, photos, videos… Once we learned about cosplay, we all sort of gravitated towards it.
Why do you love cosplay? The creative aspect, and (as cheesy as this might sound) we’ve all met some of our dearest, closest friends through cosplay.
Describe what prank you are completing or what is going on in the photograph. (In other words, what makes your submission qualified for this contest). This is more of an “in-character” photo than a prank the cosplayes themselves pulled; Len can be more than a little mischievous, and poor Kaito is often the butt of the other Vocaloids’ pranks and jokes. Here, Len is tying to push Kaito into the fountain. Miku’s doing her best to save him, but tugging on the scarf may be doing him more harm than good.
